Project AERO Science Standards

Project AERO (American Education Reaches Out) is a collaborative project of the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA) and the Council for Basic Education (CBE). It's goal is to provide a framework of academic standards appropriate for American schools overseas. The standards are based on CBE's Standards of Excellence.

The science standards are divided into 4 major areas; Scientific Inquiry, The Physical Setting, The Living Environment, and Human Organisms and Society. The standards are further subdivided into objectives for Grades 2, 5, 8, and 12.
