K-6 school science curricula are usually built upon commercial text-based or kit-based programs. Following are selected links including both science program options. Note that text-based curricula usually include a wide array of supporting resources including kits of materials and supplies, tests and assessments, student lab sheets, overhead transparencies, web sites, and more. Non-text materials are usually built around themes such as magnetism and electricity or plants but may also include student reading materials, assessments, and other instructional resources. Schools seeking to construct and sequence their own K-6 science curricula often use kit, modular, or unit-based science programs.
